 The Innocent Justice Foundation

The Innocent Justice Foundation's (TIJF) mission is to support Internet Crimes Against Children Task Forces in any way possible including, providing free grant writing services and other programs. TIJF also educates law enforcement, policymakers, the media, and the public about child pornography crimes.
Under the Supporting Heroes in Foundational Mental Health Training (SHIFT) program TIJF provides basic psycho-educational trainings for exposed individuals and mental health professionals; train-the-trainer workshops; advanced topic presentations; guides for unit investigators, commanders, administrators, and family; and a website with resources, online courses, and discussion boards for those affected by exposure to child sexual abuse and torture images.
Length of programs: TIJF workshops are typically 1.5 - 4 hours in length. We also offer a variety of in-person courses, on-line courses pre-recorded courses on our website. See links below.

Prerequisites: Most courses do not require a prerequisite.
Max Class Size: The maximum amount of students allowed in each course will depend on where the course is held.
Target Audience: TIJF's courses are for law enforcement, including, parole/probation officers, investigators, detectives and prosecutors, or any officers who are exposed to child pornography and who are ICAC Task Force and Affiliate members.

 Course Information

Innocent Justice is the recipient of an OJJDP ICAC Training and Technical Assistance grant award for a project entitled "SHIFT: Supporting Heroes in Foundamental Mental Health training to serve ICAC Task Force members and other ICAC professionals exposed to child pornography. The entire program is designed to educate exposed individuals how to prevent trauma as well as educate mental health professionals how to better serve exposed individuals, conduct best practices and develop agency guidelines to mitigate negative effects of exposure to child sexual abuse images.
